Event Highlights

Get fit and have fun with Zumba!
Join your neighbors for an hour of Latin dance-inspired fitness classes, courtesy of Puente. An experienced Zumba instructor gets a roomful of adults and children into the groove. Classes are Tuesday from 5 to 6 p.m. and Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Pescadero Elementary School multipurpose room. Donations accepted; childcare provided for free.

Opening June 27th, Pescadero Grown! is back for its third season on the South Coast, and this year promises to be better than ever!  The farmers’ market in Pescadero

This season, in addition to food vendors, local artists as well as get local non-profits that serve the area will attend the market.  And, as always, each week the market features the region’s best live music.

 

Visit the market in Pescadero on Thursdays from 3pm-7pm at 251 Stage Road, next to the Pescadero Country Store! For more information or to participate in the market, contact Nichole Mikaelian or nmikaelian@mypuente.org.


Puente Learning Center Programs

  • Adult Literacy. For those Spanish speakers who want to learn to read and write in Spanish and complete their elementary or secondary education.  Individual tutoring hours assigned based on schedules. Scholarship of $100! Please call to enroll.
  • Morning ESL Classes. Tuesdays  and Thursdays from 10-12:00pm.Two levels. Please call before to enroll. Transportation and childcare are provided.  Scholarship of $70 given if there is 90-100% attendance. Please call to enroll. College Scholarship: The “Instituto de Mexicanos en el Exterior,” through Puente are offering  a $70 scholarship for continuing your education in college. Student needs to be registered for two classes per semester and all classes need to be passed.
  • Night ESL Classes. For beginners and intermediates. Two levels. Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Transportation and childcare are provided. Scholarship of $70 given if there is 90-100% attendance. Please call before to enroll.
  • ESL classes in La Honda. Classes are every Friday 5-7pm. Scholarship of $70 given if here is 90-100% attendance. Please call us if you are interested.
  • Pescadero Spanish Class.  A program for people who want to learn Spanish.  Please call to enroll. We need a 5 person minimum in order to have the class.  (Dates and times TBD)
  • La Honda Spanish Class.  A program for people who want to learn Spanish. Please call to enroll. We need a 5 person minimum in order to have the class.  (Dates and times TBD)
  • Individual Tutoring. For those who need tutoring in the GED or citizenship. Please call to sign-up.
